Portfolio > Consumptive Prints

Using the Consumption series as a starting point, I have pushed the concept further by transitioning paintings in to a medium invented for the purpose of mass consumption: The print. This shift in medium not only serves to further the concept behind the work but transforms the images into something wholly separate from their painted counterparts. The wood block process offers such graphic flavor to these prints that they veer toward abstraction, hiding the exact nature of the work and saving it for a wonderful "ah-ha!" moment when the viewer realizes what they are looking at.
